Delcie Lorraine Johnson Underwood Bisher, 84, of W. Second St., Denton, died Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Graveside Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Dennis Sheppard officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Born in Randolph County on December 31, 1936, she was the daughter of David Addison and Mattie Collins Johnson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the UMW and a former Sunday School Teacher, and was a retired seamstress from Councill Craftsmen. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Underwood, 2 daughters, Lynn McCoin and Kathy Moore, 3 sisters, Phonsa Darnell, Hilda Kennedy, and Barbara Shivers, 4 brothers, D.A. Johnson, Jr., Bill Johnson, Bob Johnson, and Donald Johnson. Mrs. Bisher is survived by her husband, Donald Underwood Bisher of the home; 2 sons, Bob Underwood (Phyllis) of Denton and Chuck Underwood (Alice) of Thomasville; stepson, Donald Kim Bisher of Denton; 2 sisters, Wanda Hill of Archdale and Susie McCoin of Winston-Salem; 8 Grandchildren, Sina, Kimberly, Mason, Jennifer, Sabrina, Aprille, Kristi, and Adam; 5 Step-Grandchildren; 8 Great-grandchildren. Memorial Contributions may be made to Lion’s Club International, Department 4547 Carol Stream, IL 60122-4547 USA. Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is in charge of arrangements.
