Debra Elaine Hemple Turner passed Wednesday morning, September 15, 2021, at age 54. Debbie grew up in Pennsville, and attended Pennsville Memorial High School, class of 1985. During her younger years Debbie played little league Softball and was a member of the Pennsville Marching band on the Flag team.
Debbie moved to Denton North Carolina with her daughter Nicole in 1990 when she met the love of her life Matthew Turner. Debbie has held various positions over the years most recently working for Walmart in Lexington, NC as a Team Lead. Of all Debbie titles her favorite title was Momma.
Debbie was involved with the Girls scouts in NC and was the designated cookie mother for many years. Debbie made many friends since moving to North Carolina which she considered family.
Debbie’s hobbies included gardening, playing with her puppies, reading, playing cards, going to the beach, and spending time with family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Turner (2010); her paternal grandparents, Madeline & George Hemple; and her maternal grandparents, Lois & Charles Thompson.
She is survived by her daughter Nicole Sams Turner (Brandon Roberts); parents Daniel & Sandra Hemple of Pennsville; Sisters Denise (Art) Simpson of LAC, NJ, Danielle (Jason) Link, of Pennsville, NJ, Dawn & (Ronnie) Parker of Mebane, NC; Many Nieces & Nephews that she loved.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
