Deborah Jean Barber

D eborah “Debbie” Jean Barber, 70, of S. Main St., Ext. Denton, NC passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Keith Carroll officiating and Rev. Luke Jackson assisting. A private burial will he held at a later date.

Deborah was born December 12, 1952, in Davidson County to Herman Barber and Betty Pruitt Barber. She had worked as a computer technician with Burlington Industries and was a member of Mount Zion Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Nancy Carol Barber.

She is survived by her husband, Reed McCraken; daughter, Stephanie Barber; and granddaughter, Savannah Ramsey.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
