David Pierce

Mr. David Lewis Pierce, age 87 of Howell Drive, Denton, NC died Thursday, June 4 at Forsyth Regional Medical Center in Winston-Salem . A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 7, at First Baptist Church. The family will see friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday at the Church Mr. Pierce was born July 11, 1927 in Randolph County to Lewis Pierce and Rosa Mae Trotter Pierce. He was a veteran of the U S Navy and a member of First Baptist Church. He was a salesman and had owned and operated the Trading Post Convenience Store, had been a realtor, an insurance agent and operated a used car dealership. He is survived by his wife, Doris Gallimore Pierce of the Home; a son, Michael Pierce of Denton; daughter Lynne Pierce Byerly and husband Dale of Denton; brother Luther E Pierce and wife Betty; sister Marsha Surratt and husband Baxter; grandchildren Kenie Beal and husband Michael and Kasey Campbell and husband Phillip; great grandchildren, Taylor, Gage and Garrett Beal all of Denton. Cremation Service provided by Briggs Funeral Home.
