Mr. J. David Jackson, age 90 of East NC Hwy # 47, Denton, NC died Sunday, February 24 at Thomasville Medical Center. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Siloam United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Sandy Young and Rev. Fred Hill. Burial with Military Honors conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jackson was born October 10, 1917 in Rowan County to John Jackson and Ida Eagle Jackson. He was an Army Veteran of Would War II and a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture Industries. He was an active member of Siloam United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph Jackson, Maneto Jackson and Bill Jackson. Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Virgie Gallimore Jackson of the home, by sons Eddie Jackson and wife Cathy; Tony Jackson and wife Fonda; by daughter, Linda Markham and husband Wayne all of Denton; brother Louie Jackson of Salisbury: sisters, Thelma Luther of Asheboro and Ruby Page of Granite Quarry, by grandchildren, Kim Markham and wife, Gay, Keith Jackson and wife Jody, and Davin Jackson; great grandchildren, Kaci, Lindsey, and Koby Markham. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times will be at the residence.
