David Burton Cheek

Philippians 4:6-7

David Burton Cheek, 62, of NC HWY, Denton, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at his residence.

A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church in Denton with Rev. David Lancaster officiating. The family will receive friends and family following the service in the fellowship hall.

A private inurnment will take place at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.

David was born in Forsyth County on November 4, 1961, the son of the late Henry Click Cheek and the late Rachel Nan Linville Cheek. He was a graduate of Parkland High School and Western Carolina University, where he was a member of Kappa Phi-Theta Xi Fraternity. David was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and had worked for Axalta Paint Co., in High Point as a plant engineer. Some of his favorite pastimes were spending time with family, fishing, gardening, and just fellowshipping with others.

Left to cherish is memory is his wife, Kelly Walker Cheek of the home; son, Daniel Burton Cheek (Kadie Lynn) of Trinity; daughter, Allison Cheek (Sammy Suttles) of High Point; brother, Michael Cheek of Salisbury; 2 nieces, Rachel Marie Cheek and Rebekah Anne Stritof (Matthew).
