Mr. David Lee Bradshaw, 86, of Brantley Gordon Rd. Denton Passed away on Friday, December 07, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Ward and Rev. Kenneth Reeves officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Rickey and Phyllis Leonard on Salem Ch. Rd.
Mr. Bradshaw was born January 4, 1932 in Davidson County to Wiley Bradshaw and Daisy Landers Bradshaw. He was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church where he served as an usher and the official bell ringer for many years. Mr. Bradshaw drove a truck for Randleman Lumber Company and retired from Burlington Industries. He enjoyed woodworking and making many items for his family.
In addition to his parents David was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Snider Bradshaw; daughter, Sarah Bradshaw; son; David Bradshaw, Jr.; granddaughter, Kimberly Southard; grandson, Joshua Bradshaw; great-granddaughter, Sarai Leonard; sisters, Cynthia, Becky, and Mary Lou; and brothers, Mack, Bill, and James.
He is survived by sons, Raymond Bradshaw (Debbie) of Denton, and Rickey Leonard (Phyllis) of Denton; daughters, Lila Southard (Jerry) of Asheboro and Regina Luther (James) of Fuquay Varina; 8 grandchildren, Brandon Leonard (Amanda), Jeremy Southard (Amber), Derrick Southard, Adam Luther (Chelsea), Ethan Bradshaw (Mickaela), Matthew Leonard, SPC Nathan D. Luther, Teran Bradshaw; and 4 great-grandchildren.
