Darrell Warren Rush

Darrell W. Rush, 69, of Tower Rd., Troy, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Atrium Healthcare Stanly in Albemarle.  A Memorial Service was held Sunday, May 5, 2019 at New Covenant Church in Troy.   Darrell was born December 9, 1949, in Guilford County, the son of Lester and Beulah Shelton Rush.  He had retired from the North Carolina Forestry Service.    He is survived by his wife, Lequita Gibson Rush of the home; 3 sons, Andy Rush and wife Nichole of Clayton NC, Adam Rush and Ali Freeman of Troy, and Ben Rush and Meredith Williams of Mt. Gilead; 3 daughters, Alicia Higgins and husband Virgil of Mt. Gilead, Lanae Cranford and husband Brent of Troy, and Ondrea Rush of Troy; 3 brothers, Harold Rush, Farrell Rush and James Rush; 2 sisters, Vada Whitaker and Glenda Spaugh; he was the loving grandfather to Brianna, Chase, Justice, Drew, Greyden, Jocelyn, Zack, Kyndal, Carly, Layla, Kaylin, Brenner, and Bradon.   Briggs-Candor Funeral Home assisted the Rush family with arrangements.
