Mr. Darrell Lee Earnhart, age 78 of Denton died Friday, January 22 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
A private graveside for family and friends service will be held Tuesday, January 26 at Liberty Fellowship Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Jamie Draughn. Burial with Military Honors will follow. The family request that those attending wear masks and social distance.
Mr. Earnhart will lie in state at Briggs Funeral Home on Monday, January 25 from 2:00 until 5:00.
Mr. Earnhart was born in Guilford County on March 9, 1942 to L. W. Earnhardt and Evelyn Miller Earnhardt. He had worked in the textile industry and was a farmer and own and operated Earnhart Farms. He was a veteran of the U S Army and a member of Liberty Fellowship Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother Bobby Earnhardt.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Loflin Earnhart of the home; by a son Daniel Earnhart and wife Lauren; grandchildren, Emery and Aubrey Earnhart; brother Larry Earnhardt; sisters Carolyn Lamar and husband Darrell, Linda Gregory and husband Roy, and Lisa Kearns; sister-in-law, Sarah Earnhardt.
