High Point-Darcus Lax Prevatt Darcus Lax Prevatt left her earthly home for her heavenly mansion on November 26, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Prevatt and son Tim Prevatt. Surviving are daughters, Audrey Rene’ Prevatt of Greensboro, Kathy P. McMahan of Trinity, Carol P. Lawson of Summerfield; sons, Mark Prevatt of Greensboro and Kevin Prevatt of Belews Creek. Also surviving are daughter in law Debbie Prevatt and sons in law Ron McMahan and Mike Lawson; 9 Grandchildren and 7 Great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Alice Cornelison of Asheboro, Brenda Luther of Troy and Joan Delacruz of Biscoe; a brother, Mitchell Lax of Virginia. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy Harrold officiating. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel and other times at the home of Kathy McMahan, 4530 Peace Rd., Trinity.
