Daniel "Danny" Smith

Mr. Daniel “Danny” Richard Smith, 74, of Denton Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021, at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury.

A celebration of Danny’s life will be held at a later date.

Danny was born in Guilford County on June 7, 1946 to the late Fredrick C. Smith and Gladys Trimnal Smith. He worked for Hatteras Yacht for many years as a cabinet builder and later he worked for Councill Craftsman. He was a member of Clear Springs United Methodist Church and was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Varner Dunn Smith of the home; son, Daniel “Danny” Smith, Jr.; daughter, Gina Clinard; step-sons, Terry, Andy, and Kelly Dunn; twin brother, Don Smith; sister, Sandra  Barnes; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and his pet cats, Daisy and Mary Lou.
