Dana Kay Walters Crook, 70, of Loflin Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be held 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 6, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charlie Collins officiating.
Ms. Crook was born in Bonifay, FL to Daniel Walters and Erna Wood Walters. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Clyde Crook, a daughter, Tracie Crook; and a granddaughter, Lauryn Benton
She is survived by daughters, Melissa Crook of Denton and Sheri Crook Whitman (Toby) of Thomasville; brother, James Jackson of Florida; sister, Jeannie Hall of California; 10 grandchildren, Justin Steed (Shasta), Ashley Steed (Gene), Mitchell Whitman (Kristen), Toby Whitman, Jr. (Stormi), Dalton Deitz (Brianna), Brandi Deitz, Kinsie Crook (Joseph), Jake Crook, Kaitlin Crook, and Savannah Hill; 18 great-grandchildren; and 3 very devoted and loving canine companions.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 7:00 PM prior to the ervice at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
