Dale Heath Kellis

Mr. Dale Heath Kellis, 61, of Candor Troy Rd. passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 at his residence.  A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, Feb. 4 at Macedonia Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mike Holyfield presiding. Interment will follow at Candor Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Briggs Candor Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister Teresa K. Reynolds on Troy Candor Rd.  Mr. Kellis was born May 30, 1957 in Montgomery County to Richard Elwood Kellis and Olive Mae Heath Kellis. He was a member of Macedonia Presbyterian Church and an avid fan of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. Dale graduated from East Montgomery High School and from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in History. He had worked for Energizer Battery, Black and Decker, Lowes Foods, and Food King in Troy. He was preceded in death by his parents.  Dale is survived by his brother, James Elwood Kellis of Candor; sister, Teresa K. Reynolds of Candor; niece, Tammy Lynn Kellis of Candor; and nephews, Bryan Reynolds and wife Rebecca of Troy and Aubin Reynolds and wife Lindsay of Seagrove.  Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association PO Box 744806 Atlanta, GA 30374-4806.
