Dale Byerly

Mr. Roy Dale Byerly, 71, of Floyd St. Denton passed away on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at Liberty Lane Hospice House in Salisbury.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, Feb. 14 at Summerville Baptist Church with Rev. Flynn Richardson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Floyd St.

Dale was born June 26, 1947 in Davidson County to Roy Howard Byerly and Johnsie Floyd Byerly. He was a member of Summerville Baptist Church. Dale served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving is wife, Mary Jane Shipton Byerly of the home; son, Craig Byerly and wife Jodi of Asheville; 3 grandchildren, Andrew Byerly, Tyler Williams, and Turner Williams; sister, Libby Bailey of Denton; and special friends Jerry and Marie Gallimore.
