Curtis Eugene Cory

Curtis Eugene Cory, 78, of Denton, NC passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. Born on October 26, 1947, in Richmond County, as the son of Ernest Coy Croft and Mary Inman Croft.

In accordance with his wishes Curtis will be cremated and a private burial will take place in the family plot at Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham. A memorial service is being planned for a later date and details will be announced.

Curtis was a retired machine operator from Klopman Mills which later became Burlington Industries . As long as his health allowed Curtis was very active in the Davidson County Senior Olympics, Project Santa, Meals on Wheels, and being with his friends and playing music at Bojangles in Denton. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by numerous cousins among those where some special ones, Angie Gallimore (Alvin), Linda Woody (Dennis), Jerry Inman (Kelly), and Mitchell Inman (Stephanie).

Memorial contributions should be made to Davidson County Meals on Wheels.
