Curtis Eugene Cory

Curtis Eugene Cory, 78, of Denton, NC passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026. Born on October 26, 1947, in Richmond County, as the son of Ernest Coy Croft and Mary Inman Croft.

A service to celebrate the life of Curtis Cory will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Larry Furr's Southern Theater and Event Center located at 18639 S. HWY 109, Denton, NC 27239. 

In accordance with his wishes Curtis will be cremated and a private burial will take place in the family plot at Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham.

Curtis was a retired machine operator from Klopman Mills which later became Burlington Industries . As long as his health allowed Curtis was very active in the Davidson County Senior Olympics, Project Santa, Meals on Wheels, and being with his friends and playing music at Bojangles in Denton. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by numerous cousins among those where some special ones, Angie Gallimore (Alvin), Linda Woody (Dennis), Jerry Inman (Kelly), and Mitchell Inman (Stephanie).

Memorial contributions should be made to Davidson County Meals on Wheels.
