Cornelia Lawing

Mrs. Cornelia Grant Moore Lawing, age 60 of East Old Hwy # 64, Lexington, NC died Friday, July 22 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Denton conducted by Rev. Billy Dunigan. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lawing was born January 14, 1951 in La Grange, Georgia to Archie Boyd Grant and Sallie Rushing Grant. She was a homemaker and of Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her first husband R. L. Moore. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Doodle Flowers. She is survived by daughters, Sonya Watts and husband Brian of Thomasville, Renita Moore and husband Romeo Correa of Lexington, and Tonia Moore of Indian Trail; by sisters, Wanda Wedel of Lexington, Wanda Locklear of Raeford and Omie Painter of McCoysville, Ga; grandchildren, Jaidyn Watts, Corbin Williams-Moore, Grayson Watts, Ryan Williams-Moore and Eliana Watts.
