Connie Lorene Harris Williamson

Connie Lorene Harris Williamson, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at Randolph Hospice House. Born on August 16, 1934, in Randolph County, NC, Connie lived a life filled with love, dedication, and a passion for family. She was a proud graduate of Farmer High School, Class of 1953, and carried forth the values learned during her formative years throughout her life.

Connie dedicated 26 years of her life to working for Walker Shoe Company in Asheboro, where she was a valued team member. Her commitment to her work mirrored her dedication to her family—she was known for her remarkable cooking skills and often delighted loved ones with her culinary creations. Beyond her professional and domestic talents, Connie had a heartfelt enthusiasm for life. She found joy in crocheting, solving crossword puzzles, reading and receiving cards, and traveling to the mountains, where she cherished the beauty of nature.

In nearly 56 years of marriage, Connie shared her life with her devoted husband, Charles Clifford Williamson, of Denton. Together, they created a loving home where family bonds were nurtured. Connie is survived by her daughters, Treva Gallimore of Asheboro and Janice Williams of Randleman; her sons, Jeffrey Williams (Clara Jean) of Ramseur and Tim Williamson (Renee) of Asheboro; her brothers, Earl Harris and Clayton Harris (Frances); her sister, Faye Batten; and her brother-in-law, C.L. Tedder. She leaves a lasting legacy through her nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory forward.

Connie's spirit will be greatly missed by those who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents, Clyde Harris and Lela Lanier Harris; her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jeff Wood; her brothers, David, Harold, and Hoyt Harris; sister, Sylvia Tedder; her sister-in-laws, Bebe Harris, Ruth Harris & Carolyn Harris; and her brother-in-law, William Batten. These family ties reflect a life rich in love and connection.
