Connie Carrick

Connie Jenkins Carrick, age 84, of Roehm Landing, Denton, NC passed away on January 24, 2024 at Piedmont Crossing Nursing Home in Thomasville.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27th at 3:00 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will see friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.

Mrs. Carrick was born on September 16, 1939 in New Hanover County to Johnnie and Frances McDonald Jenkins.  She was an kindergarten school teacher at Lexington City Schools. Connie loved to write poetry, loved birds, loved kids, camping and traveling in North Carolina from the coast to the mountains. She was a member of Jersey Baptist Church. Connie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Howard Carrick.

She is survived by son, Michael Carrick (Amy) of Charlotte; daughter, Christina Sheffer (Tedd) of Granite Bay, CA; brothers, Gary Jenkins and Williams Jenkins; sisters, Joan Cope and Tamra Mel and by her cat, Hansom.
