Clyatt Lester Snider, 88, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the home of his grandson with his family by his bedside. Clyatt was born in Randolph County on October 15, 1937, the son of the late Walter Thomas Snider and Mary Trotter Snider.
Mr. Snider enjoyed the outdoors working on the family dairy farm with his sons until he suffered a massive stroke in April of 2008. After a 46 year career with Drexel Heritage Furniture Mr. Snider retired. As a longtime member of Fairview United Methodist Church Mr. Snider had held many offices.
He was a beloved husband to his wife, Yvonne Adams Snider to whom he was married for almost 66 years, who survives of the home; he also survived by his sons, Perry Snider and his wife Martha Gilliam Snider, Mark Snider all of Lexington, and Kelly Snider of Denton; his 4 grandchildren, whom he adored, Mary Elizabeth Hewett and her husband Aaron, Robert Snider, Joshua Snider and his wife Kendall all of Lexington, and Jacob Snider and his wife Lindsay of Troy; and two very special great-grandchildren, Karen Elizabeth Hewett and Mason Lee Snider; also surviving is a sister, Nancy Snider of Waynesboro, VA; and a brother, Dewey Wayne Snider and his wife Maude of Denton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Beverly Peace Snider; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, at Fairview United Methodist Church with Rev. Amy Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the funeral service and at other times at the residence.
