Clifford Owen

Clifford Lee Owen, age 78, of Mountain View Church Rd., Lexington died Monday, November 14, 2011 at his residence. A funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Mountain View Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Miller, Rev. Charlie Chapman, and Rev. Denny Wright. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will see friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Mountain View Church Rd. Mr. Owen was born September 7, 1933 in Davidson County to Joe Henry Owen and Estella Laughlin Owen. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and worked in the furniture industry. He was preceded in death by sisters; Zeola Marie Carrick and Elsie Lou Owen. Mr. Owen is survived by his wife; Lousie Hedrick Owen of the home, son; Donnie Owen of Lexington, daughter; Kaye Talbert of Lexington, sister; Virgie Reid of Lexington, grandchildren; Jimmy Owens, Jeremy Owens, Joshua Talbert, Jessica Harris, Ashley Owen, and Donnie Owen, Jr., great-grandchildren; Mckenzie, Dylan, Nick, C.J., Zoey, Zack, Tobey, Baxley, Kallie, Daniel, and Zachary.
