Clifford H. Loflin, Sr. age 91, of Crow Creek Rd. Denton, died Monday at Randolph Hospital. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. James Draughn. Mr. Loflin was born Feb. 28, 1915 in Randolph County to Dave and Ethel Smith Loflin. He was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by a son, H. Dwight Loflin and a daughter, Linda Loflin. He is survived by wife, Beulah Hogan Loflin of the home, sons, Hoyt, Kenneth, and David Loflin all of Denton. Daughters, Shirlyn L. Simmons and Barbara L. Earnhart, both of Denton, brothers, Henry and Leonard Loflin both of Asheboro, sisters, Alene McDowell and Cleo Munn, both of Asheboro and 15 Grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The family will see friends Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Greg Loflin on Cranford Rd.
