Mr. Cleo Bailey age 70, of Harvard St., Denton died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Gerald Ward and Rev. John Gobble. Interment will follow in The Matney Family Cemetery. Mr. Bailey was born September 15, 1944 in Davidson County to Curtis Nathaniel Bailey and Morona Bean Bailey. Cleo was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and had worked for Hedrick Brothers Lumber Company and most recently at CID Extreme Attachment. Survivors include, wife, Minnie Coppley Bailey of the home; sons, Deon and Danny Bailey both of Denton; daughters; Tonya Duggins, Tracy Matney, and Lisa Graham all of Denton; brothers, Grayland Bailey of Morganton, Dennis Bailey of Denton, and James Perdue of Denton; sisters, Pansy Osborne, Renee Rogers, and Bettie Gallimore all of Denton; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will see friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
