Clayton "Tubby" Ray Hulin

Mr. Clayton “Tubby” Ray Hulin of Delk Road, Lexington, NC died Wednesday, June 15 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Josh Gentle. Interment will follow at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Delk Road. Mr. Hulin was born on October 8, 1935 in Randolph County to Percy Watson and Josie Indonia Briles Hulin. He was a pastor of the Freewill Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Alreta Snider Hulin; a sister, Edna Pennington; 2 brothers, Tommy Hulin and Billy Hulin; and a grandson, Darin Guevara. He is survived by a son, Harold Glenn Hulin and wife Debra of Lexington; daughters, Shelia Bess of Lexington and Patricia Gayle Guevara and husband Victor of San Antonio, TX; brothers, Jesse Bud Hulin and wife Martha and Terry Hulin and wife Sue both of Lexington; sisters, Eleanor “Lucy” Noah and husband Buck of Lexington and Hazel Hoover of Denton; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
