Clarence Austin Tysinger

Mr. Clarence Austin Tysinger, Sr. age 83 of Denton Rd., Denton passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at Novant Health Thomasville. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, Jan. 6 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Pastor Travis Wilmoth officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mr. Tysinger was born December 30, 1933 in Davidson County to Stokes Tysinger and Zella Dobey Tysinger. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Clarence enjoyed working in the yard, his garden, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Delmar and Kenneth Tysinger and by a sister Maxine Hick. Surviving are wife, Sue Cole Tysinger of Denton; sons, Clarence Tysinger, Jr. of Denton and Steven Tysinger and wife Heather of Clemmons; brothers, Ronald and Robert Tysinger both of Candor; sisters, Pat Berrier of Lexington and Verona Lee of Norwood; grandchildren, Cooper Tysinger, Mackenzie Thompson, Blaine Heinen, Ashly Townsend; great grandchildren, Skylar Bradley and Sebastian Romero. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence of Sue Tysinger on Denton Rd.
