Clarence Hamlett

Clarence James “Jimmy” Hamlett, 59, of Russell Road, Denton died Tuesday June 24, 2008 at Thomasville Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wade Lomax officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hamlett was born July 16, 1948 in Caswell County to Cletus James Hamlett and Maxine Wilson Hamlett. He had previously worked at Council Furniture. His wife Wynona Loflin Hamlett preceded him in death. Survivors include, son; Thomas James Hamlett and step son; Thomas Steven Owens both of Denton, daughter; Tammy Hulin of Denton and step daughter Adrian Renee Warren of Deltona, Fla., brothers; Charlie Ray Hamlett of Asheboro, Cletus Edward Hamlett of Seminole Ok, and John Sherman Hamlett of Jacksonville Fla., sister; Margie H. Cox of Franklinville, and 3 grandchildren. The family will see friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton other times at the residence of Michael and Tammy Hulin on N. Main St., Denton.
