Chester "Chet" Rinehults, Jr.

Mr. Chester Leroy “Chet” Rinehults, Jr. age 77 of Burney Mill Rd., Denton passed away Sunday, May 03, 2015 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2015 at New Hope United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Joe Conley. “Chet” was born July 31, 1937 in Alleghany County, New York to Chester Leroy Rinehults, Sr. and Virginia Higby Rinehults. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict, an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church, and also a member of Matthews Masonic Lodge #461 AF&AM. In addition to his parents “Chet” was also preceded in death by daughters, Kimberley Flynn and Cynthia Rinehults; granddaughter, Allison Rinehults; and by 1 brother and 1 sister. Surviving are, wife, Sarah Campbell Rinehults of the home; sons, Chester H. Rinehults of Mississippi, Scott M. Rinehults (Karen) of Monroe, Michael Laney (Vikki) of Gotha, FL., Marc Laney of Orlando, FL, Greg Laney (Michelle) of Belmont; daughters, Vicky Lynne McNelis of Mississippi; brother, Gary Rinehults (Melanie) of Virginia; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church and other times at the home on Burney Mill Rd., Denton. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to New Hope United Methodist Church or to Hospice of Randolph County. Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is serving the Rinehults family.
