Charlie Eli Glover, 66, of Mill Rd, Jackson Springs, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at Duke University Hospital in Durham. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Monday at Middlecross Baptist Church, with Rev. David Reynolds and Rev. Ronnie Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Springs Cemetery. Born on April 20, 1945 in Cumberland County, he was the son of John Eli and Bessie Mills Glover. He was a truck driver with Estes Trucking. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Ruth Goins Glover of the home; 2 sons, Tony of Carthage and Jeremy of Texas; 2 daughters, Debbie Daniel of Jackson Springs and Pebbles Glover of Durham; 3 sisters, Zora Ann Jenkins, Margaret Johnson and Mary Frances McPherson, all of Jackson Springs; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
