Charles David Yarboro

Charles David Yarboro, 79, of Thickety Creek Rd., Mt. Gilead, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living in Candor. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Holly Mount Baptist Church, with Rev. Ben Hall and Rev. Lonnie Poole officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Montgomery County on September 22, 1936, he was the son of Roy and Beulah Haywood Yarboro. He was a member of Holly Mount Baptist Church, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by a niece, Sheila McIntyre Deese and husband Terry of Mt. Gilead; 2 nephews, Bobby Ray McIntyre, Jr. and wife Laurie of Mt. Gilead and Andy McIntyre and wife Carolyn of Waxhaw; 3 grandnieces, Deanna Deese, Shelby Frazer and Sarahann McIntyre and one grand-nephew, Bobby Ray McIntyre, III (Bigman). The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Troy and other times at the home of his niece, Sheila Deese on Thickety Creek Rd. Briggs Funeral Home of Troy is in charge of arrangements.
