Charles Anthony Stone, 85, of Denton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his residence. Born on May 29, 1940, in Guilford County, he was the son of Floyd Wesley Stone and Teresa Berry Stone, who have preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his brothers James, Richard, and David Stone as well as sisters, Elizabeth Vinacco and Mavis Heon.
Charles was a beloved husband to Carolyn Ann Hodgin Stone, with whom he shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to his son, Chuck Stone, and his wife Danine, of Denton and his daughter, Donna Stone of Denton. He cherished the role of grandfather to Taylor Stone and his wife Desirae, and Sierra Stone, as well as being a great-grandfather to Ryder, Rhett, and Olivia Stone, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
For many years, Charles worked for Eastern Airlines as a grounds crewman before embracing his passion as a Ferrier. His love for horses extended beyond his professional life, as he enjoyed showing them and sharing that joy with family and friends. Charles also had a deep-seated passion for music; he was a man of Christian faith who shared his love of singing and playing guitar with The Gloryland Band.
A proud car enthusiast, Charles dedicated much of his time to restoring classic cars, particularly his cherished 1999 Ford Mustang - a vehicle he dreamed of seeing his grandson drag race one day.
