Charles Stanley Hardister, age 82, of Burney Mill Road, Troy died Wednesday, June 4 at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation in Asheboro. Funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, June 7 at Eleazer United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Hardister was in Randolph County, the son of James Allen and Bertha Harvell Hardister. He was the retired owner and operator of Hardister & Son Builders. Mr. Hardister is survived by his wife of 59 years, Imogene Gallimore Hardister of the home, two daugthters, Lynn Hardister Lamb and husband Jeff of the Eleazer community, Gail Hardister Walker and husband David of Denton, one son Randy C. Hardister of Denton and grandchildren, Daniel Walker, Christy W. Simpson and husband Chris, Thomas Lamb and wife Kari, Lindsay L. Cox and husband Derek, Matthew Hardister, Adam Hardister and Andrew Hardister and great grandchildren, Maci Lamb and Mya Simpson. He is also survived by three sisters, Maxine Richardson of Troy, Kathryn Russell of the Blaine Community and Madalene Simmons of the Eleazer Community. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 pm Friday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
