Charles Franklin

Charles Franklin, 61, of Denton died Friday, June 13, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday June 16, 2008 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Denton with Rev. Danny McMahan officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mr. Franklin was born January 21, 1947 in Guilford County to Ollie Main Franklin and Annie Scarboro Franklin. He had worked for Councill Craftsman. Mr. Franklin was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife Kay Frances Franklin in July 2005. Survivors include two sons James Elvin Tollison of North Carolina and Timothy Deon Tollison and wife Linda of Asheboro; one daughter Sabrina Pruitt and husband Fred of High Point; two sisters Linnis Collins of Archdale and Martha Colburn of Trinity; four grandchildren Thomas Pruitt, Amanda Tollison, Rebekah McCannon, and Kerri Tollison; two step grandchildren Wanda Long and Lynn Pruitt, and five step great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of The Piedmont 1801 Westchester Drive high Point, NC 27262. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.
