Charles Percy Davis, Jr.

Mr. Charles Percy Davis, Jr., 73, of Garner Drive, Denton passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Randolph Health.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, Dec. 2, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Claudie Harrison. Interment will follow at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence.

Mr. Davis was born January 11, 1945 in Bladen County to Charles Percy Davis, Sr. and Irene Stevens Davis. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. For many years Mr. Davis built handcrafted cedar furniture. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Shaw.

He is survived by wife, Jo Ann Garner Davis of the home; daughter, Cherry Yates; sister, Carlene Williams and husband Eddie; grandson, Andrew Yates; nephew, Lacy Williams; and niece, Penny Williams.
