Chad Wayne Smith

Chad Wayne Smith, 42, of Astran Drive, Denton, died Friday, July 23, 2021 at his residence. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Jackson Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Josh Kepley officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Mr. Smith was born February 21, 1979 in Randolph County, the son of Jerry and the late Amy Leonard Smith. He was a materials handler at Hanes manufacturing. Chad attended Jackson Creek Baptist Church and has gone on to be with The Lord. Chad is survived by his father and step-mother, Jerry and Barbara Smith of Asheboro; brother, Shawn Smith of Silver Valley; uncles, James and Randy Smith; aunts, Vickie Yates, Donna Harrison (Mickey), and Judy Bryant (Darrell); great-uncle, Rex Smith; great-aunt, Sue Lunsford.
