Carolyn Covington

Mrs. Carolyn Cook Covington, age 60 of Ross Lee Road, Denton, NC died Saturday, January 4 at Thomasville Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 8 at Alleghany United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Kelly Creekmur. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence. Mrs. Covington was born May 11, 1953 in Davidson County to J. Lawrence Cook and Billie Lookabill Cook. She was employed with the Randolph County School System as a teachers assistant at Southmont Elementary School where she loved all the students. She was a lifelong activity member of Alleghany United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and by a sister Yolonda Cook Borgman. She is survived by her husband Steve Covington of the home; a daughter Yvonda Covington Trotter of Denton; her mother Mrs. Billie L.
