Carolyn Cooper

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Troutman Cooper, 77, of Yates Road, Denton NC passed away on November 19, 2024 at her residence.

A Graveside Service with be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22nd at Lexington City Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Daniel officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday prior to the graveside service at Briggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Mrs. Cooper was born on February 7, 1947, in Davidson County to Mack Lewis Troutman and Arlene Crotts Troutman.  She was a church member of High Rock Baptist Church and had worked as a knitter at Cannon Mills.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Russell Greer Cooper, Jr.; a son, Jeff “Bubba” Greer Cooper and a daughter, Kristy Everhart.

She is survived by 2 sons, Greg Cooper of Denton and Gary Cooper and wife Denise of Alabama; a daughter, Sharon Metcalf and husband Steve of Denton; a brother, Jimmy Lewis “Pee Wee” Troutman and wife Peggy of Lexington; 5 grandchildren, Brad Cooper, Christopher Metcalf, Kimberly Wood, Shane Everhart and Meghan Metcalf; 4 great-grandchildren, Mason Wood, Nora Cooper, Mattie Cooper and Ariel Metcalf.
