Carlene Loflin Varner

Carlene Loflin Varner a resident of Uwharrie Parkway, New London passed away on Friday, May 22 at her residence.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26 at Alleghany United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Phillippi and Rev. Derald Smith officiating.

Carlene was born in Davidson County to E. Bradley Loflin and Virginia Fine Loflin. She was a homemaker and a member of Chandler’s Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Varner; brothers, Clarence and Wes Loflin; and her twin sister, Marlene Loflin Efird.

She is survived by special nephew, Dan Efird and wife Mindy of Denton; special niece, Anita Hobbs of Denton; brothers, Joe Loflin of Denton, Bill Loflin of Asheboro, and Robert Loflin of New London; sisters, Dorothy Hill of Denton and Vangie Chrisco of Locust.
