Canaan Wade Miller, 18, of North Main Street, Denton died Thursday, Aug. 2 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, Aug. 12 at Central United Methodist Church in Denton (276 W. First Street) conducted by Rev. Benny Clodfelter and Rev. Andy Tuttle with a celebration of life service to follow at the residence on North Main Street. Canaan was born March 14, 1989 in Guilford County to DaRon and Jennifer Tillotson Miller. He was employed by Dr. Sidney Hood and the Old North State Club, He was also the drummer with his own band “Meat Market”. He was a 2007 graduate of South Davidson High School and planned to attend UNC Asheville. He received several scholarships. He volunteered with the following “PATH” at High Point Regional Hospital, Davidson County Special Olympics, and went on a mission trip to the New Orleans area following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Survivors include his parents of the home, brothers Seth and Micah Miller of the home, sister Aurelia Miller of the home. The family will see friends at the residence following the service.
