Calvin Brice Ferrell

Calvin Brice Ferrell, 74, of Denton, NC, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2021, at his home in Denton, NC.

Calvin was born on November 9, 1946, in Davidson County, NC. He was the son of the late Hubert and Opal Brewer Ferrell. In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his brothers, John Melvin Ferrell and Chuck Ferrell.

Calvin was a lifelong resident of Davidson County. He attended Davidson County schools and worked in the fabrication industry, serving as a supervisor for 20 years. Retired, he enjoyed working in his yard and tending to his animals, especially his basset hound Cloie, chickens, and pigeons. Calvin was a loving father and grandfather who loved the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Ferrell of Denton; his children, Darrell Ferrell, Brent Ferrell and wife Kathleen of Denton, and Diana Flynt and husband Robbie of Pleasant Garden; and grandchildren, Libby Moretz and husband Tyler of Lexington, Maria Ferrell and Brenna Ferrell of Chapel Hill, and Emily Flynt of Reidsville.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at the Denton Town Cemetery with Elder Jack Dawsey officiating. Mr. Ferrell will lie in state from 9:30 am until 10:30 am Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
