The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Candor Funeral Home.
Born in Moore County on December 20, 2002, she was the daughter Stephen and Audrey Burroughs. She had attended Faith Baptist Church. Caitlyn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bobby and Peggy Burroughs, an aunt, Shelia Burroughs Lamb, nephew Kevin Leonard, and great-grandparents, Oliver and Lena Vredenburg, Creal and Reba Hogan, Reid and Mary Burroughs, and Bill and Christine Freeman.
Caitlyn was a vibrant young lady that loved life and touched the hearts of all that knew her. She would always light up the room when she entered it. Caitlyn loved her kitty, Luna, who misses her greatly, but she treasured all the great memories she had of her sisters including her in their lives by going to music concerts, meeting her favorite bands, meeting her favorite author, going shopping, putting on their makeup, styling their hair, and being included in all their life activities. Caitlyn's sisters will always miss "their baby". Although God called her home early to assist with other heavenly duties, Caitlyn had plans of becoming a Nurse Practitioner and a Cosmetologist. Caitlyn once stated that she wanted everyone to be" healthy and beautiful". She often volunteered her many talents in Nursing homes by giving manicures to residents, applying their makeup, reading their favorite books to them and just reminiscing to help them remember their life's greatest memories. Caitlyn also aided in the daily care for her grandmother, in the home, when Meemaw was terminally ill. By having such a kind heart, Caitlyn was always willing to help those in need, especially her sisters and friends, no matter the circumstances. Caitlyn's favorite quote was, "Remember all the little things in life, because when we look back, we realize they were all big things".
She is survived by her parents, Stephen and Audrey Burroughs of the home; 4 sisters, Bethany Leonard of Franklin, Danielle Burroughs of Asheboro, Anna Burroughs of Candor, and Olivia Burroughs of Robbins; grandparents, Rebecca Hogan of Candor and Larry Hogan of Candor; 5 nieces and 2 nephews.
