Bud Richardson

Mr. Ernest McCain (Bud) Richardson age 85 of Charles Mountain Road, Denton, NC died Thursday, August 11 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A graveside service with military honors will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Taylor’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Tommy Tysinger. The family will see friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Mr. Richardson was born October 27, 1925 in Randolph County to Grady Richardson and Anna Belle McCain Richardson. He had been an active member of Taylor’s Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee. He was a retired self-employed Farmer and Sawmill Operator. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Hogan Gallimore Richardson of the home, a son Steve Richardson and wife lee of Midland; brother Tom Richardson of Sophia; sisters, Anna L. Staley, Dot Hill and Maxine White all of Asheboro and grandchildren Anna and Stacy, and great-grandchild Ethan.
