Bryte Hopkins

August 30, 1920 — February 25, 2008

Mrs. Bryte Hogan Hopkins, age 87 of Hopkins Drive, Denton died Monday evening, February 25 at Carolina House in Asheboro. Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Thursday, February 28 at Liberty Fellowship Church with Rev. James Draughn, Rev. Brady Morrison and Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hopkins was born August 30, 1920 in Randolph County to Manley and Amy Latham Hogan. She was a graduate of New Hope Academy and was a charter member of Liberty Fellowship Church where she was very active in the work of the church. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hopkins was married to Elmer Y. Hopkins who died July 14, 1983. Mrs. Hopkins is survived by two sons, Wesley Y. Hopkins, Sr. and wife Sandi and Levon Hopkins and wife Barbara, of Denton, two sisters, Mildred Richardson and Beulah Loflin, both of Denton, grandchildren, Julie Hopkins Parrish, Tina Hopkins Cohen, Victoria Hopkins, Wesley Hopkins, Jr., Standish Hopkins and Kathy Cashion and great-grandchildren, Ashley Rose and Courtney Dietz, Chelsee and Hannah Hill, Haleigh and McKenzie Hopkins, Seth Parrish, Callie Lane and Kaitlyn and Walker Hopkins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203, to Liberty Fellowship Church Building Fund, 8265 New Hope Rd., Denton, NC 27239 or to Science Hill Friends Meeting Building Fund, c/o David Briles, 4245 Old NC Hwy. 49, Asheboro, NC 27205 The family would like to thank Carolina House of Asheboro and Hospice of Randolph County for all their loving care and support. Thanks to all friends and family who have enriched Bryte’s life. She will be truly missed. We will always remember Bryte for her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, emphasis on prayer and her genuine love for everyone.
