Bryce Hedrick

August 20, 1922 — June 1, 2021

Bryce Moieese Hedrick, 98, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton.

A Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 4, 2021 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Joe Coltrane and Rev. Craig Bartholomew officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service at Briggs Funeral Home.

Bryce was born August 20, 1922, in Davidson County, the son of Ray Bogg and Myrtle Beck Hedrick.  He retired from Dixie Furniture and Link Taylor Furniture.  He loved farming and had a strong work ethic.  He was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Stewart Hedrick.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Frances Everhart Hedrick; son, Milton Hedrick and wife Sheila; daughter from a previous marriage, Gwen Insogna and husband John; grandson, Matthew Hedrick and girlfriend Maison Lounsbury; granddaughter Emily Hulin and husband Christopher; nephew, Tony Hedrick and wife Cynthia; and his special friend, William Surratt.  He had three great-grandchildren, Miranda, Jacob, and Ruby Hulin.  Numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces who were all very important to him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Jerusalem Reformed Church Cemetery Fund, Jerusalem Rd., Lexington NC or to The Workshop of Davidson, Inc, PO Box 906, Lexington NC.

Briggs Funeral Home of Denton is in charge of arrangements.
