Bryce C. Harrison DENTON — Bryce Colon Harrison, 79, of John Reid Road, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, at his home. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, with Pastor Arnold Comer and Pastor Billy Joe Yates officiating. Burial will be in Cid United Methodist Church cemetery. He was a native of Davidson County, the widower of Florence Dorsett Harrison and the former owner and operator of Bryce Harrison’s Grocery and Service Station in Cid. Surviving are daughters, Dorcus Loflin of Denton, Debbie Ball of Lexington; brother, Robbie Harrison of Lexington; sisters, Edith Thomason, Linda Smith and Phyllis Cockerham, all of Lexington, Judy Smith of Denton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the homes of the daughters. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1941, Lexington, N.C. 27292.
