Brent Elliott

James Brent Elliott, 62, of Varner St. Denton, NC passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his residence.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Brent was born on May 2, 1959 in Davidson County, NC to James Kermit Elliott and Sue Ella Morris Elliott. Growing up Brent and family attended First Baptist Church in Denton. He graduated from Denton High School and went on to attend Davidson County Community College. Brent began racing at Bowman Gray Stadium in the modified division at the age of 16 and continued to do so for over 30 years. He also operated a grading business.

In addition to his parents Brent was preceded in death by his sister, Caprice Hilton, and aunts, Arlene Barnes and Linda Morris; and a uncle, Ronald Morris.

He is survived by niece Karma Hilton of Denton, great-nephew, Christopher Hughes of Denton; cousins, Latefa Powell and Sarah Bass.
