Miss Brenda Louise Smith, age 58 of Tom’s Creek Church Road, Denton, NC died Friday, Sept. 25 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Summerville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tom McLean and Rev. Flynn Richardson with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Miss Smith was born June 8, 1951 in Nashville, Tenn. to Grady Colon Smith and Glessie Thompson Smith. She was a member of Summerville Baptist Church and had worked as a Dietician with Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Glessie Smith of Denton and a brother G. Dwayne Smith of Lexington Health Care in Lexington. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton, and other times at the residence on Tom’s Creek Church Road.
