Brenda Hallbrook

Mrs. Brenda Draughn Hallbrook, age 61 of Broookstone Retirement Center in Lexington and formerly of Denton, NC died Saturday, September 29 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 2 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Denton conducted by Rev. James Draughn and Evangelist Michael Simmons with burial to follow at First Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Hallbrook was born in Wytheville, Va on December 14, 1945 to James Draughn, Sr and Evelyn Seagle Draughn. She graduated from Denton High School, was a member of First Baptist Church and at one time was employed with Burlington Industries, Denton Plant. She was married to Billy R. Hallbrook who died in 1985 and was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Joy Frank and husband Johnny of Denton and brother, Jamie Draughn and wife Judy of Denton. A nephew Chad Draughn nieces Cassie Simmons and Ashlee Frank, two great nieces and many friends at Brookstone Retirement Center The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home.
