The Bobby Garner Family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Lucy Lavone “Bonnie” Morris Garner on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at First Baptist Church in Denton conducted by Rev. Vern Peterson. Interment services for family will be held later Monday in the First Baptist Church Cemetery Lucy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to family and friends. She shared her unconditional love and forgiveness with everyone she met through her great faith in God and prayer. Lucy also had her heart in her community, having served on the board of Hospice of Davidson County and various community organizations. Lucy is survived by her husband, Bobby R. Garner; her four children and families, Bonita Garner McDonald and husband Jerry and sons, Alex and Elliott McDonald , Angela Garner Ward and husband Dale and sons, Chase and Taylor Ward, Keith Morris Garner and wife Carr and children, Katherine, Samuel and Sarah Lauren Garner, and Kirk Garner and wife Lauren and daughters, Molly O’Toole and Lucy Garner; 2 sisters, Patricia Carroll and Sylvia Russell.
