Mrs. Bonnie Wray Garner, age 77 of Carter Lumber Plant Road, Denton, NC died Tuesday, July 20 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 24 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Sandy Young. Burial will follow at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, July 23 at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Mrs. Garner was born August 21, 1943 in Davidson County to Floyd Wray and Helen Carter Wray. She was employed as a secretary in the Guidance Office of South Davidson High School. She had been a member of The Denton Ladies Civitan Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister Diane Paganini. She is survived by her husband, James A Garner of the home; sons, Christopher Allen Garner of North Charleston, SC, Scott Garner and wife Sharon of Denton, Lee Garner and wife Lori of Anderson, SC; brothers, Floyd Wray,Jr. of Lexington and Robert Wray of South Adams, Mass; sister Kimberly Cranford of Wilmington; grandchildren, Josh Kubisz, Ryan Garner, Adam Garner, Caroline Garner, Jenna Garner, Avery Garner, Alyssa Garner and Jessica; great grandchildren, Chloe Cox and Liam Cox.
