Bobby Dunn, 86, of Meadowview, VA formerly of West End, died Monday, June 16, 2014 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. Funeral Service will be 8 PM Thursday at Middlecross Baptist Church, with Rev. David Reynolds and Pastor Sherrell Dunn officiating. Graveside Service will be at 10 AM Friday at West End Cemetery. Born in Richmond County on May 19, 1928, he was the son of Charlie and Lula McQueen Dunn. He was a retired artistic engineer and was preceded in death by his wife Edna Gibson Dunn in December, 2012, a son, Ronnie Dunn and a great-grandson, Corey Dunn. He is survived by a son, Pastor Sherrell Dunn and wife Yvonne of Meadowview, VA,; 3 grandchildren, Bobby Allen Dunn and wife Cheryl of Ladysmith, VA, Sharon Mullins and husband Johnny of Blountville, TN and Chad Dunn and fiancée Velerie Murray of Abingdon, VA; 5 great-grandchildren, Callie Dunn, Cody Dunn, Makenzie Martin, Savannah Martin and Cameron Mullins. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday prior to the service at Middlecross Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
