Bobby Lee Burroughs

Bobby Lee “Bob” Burroughs, 73 of Shady Lane, Biscoe, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.  Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Monday at Faith Baptist Church, with Rev. Johnny Lamonds and Rev. Chris Bouldin officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   Born in Montgomery County on January 31, 1944, he was the son of Reid and Mary Hall Burroughs.  He was a logger.  Mr. Burroughs was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelia Lamb and a sister, Joyce Latham.   He is survived by his caretaker and a grandson, Michael Aaron Overton of the home; a son, Steve Burroughs of Candor; daughter, Michelle Overton of Biscoe; brother, Kirby Burroughs of Star; sister, Betty Tranthan of Troy; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.   The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the home on Shady Lane.
